PREVIOUS PROJECTS 2015-19
My creative practice has always been concerned with the rhetoric of identity. Across shifting materials and methodologies, I return to the same essential inquiry, a question famously articulated in the title of Paul Gauguin’s painting: Where do we come from? Who are we? Where are we going? Between 2015 and 2019, this investigation centred on national and cultural identity. Through this work, I explored belonging, displacement, inherited narratives, and the formation of selfhood within social and historical structures.
